FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS
Feeding recommendation: 1 sachet can be replaced with 18 g of WHISKAS® dry food. Consider the calories that come from snacks. Feeding amounts are intended as guidelines only. Adjust the feeding amount according to your kitten's age, size and activity level. Spread feeding portions throughout the day. For more detailed information please visit our website. Provide fresh drinking water. Please serve at room temperature. Store leftover food in a cool place for a maximum of 2 days.
FEED CHANGE
We recommend carefully changing your cat's diet to help prevent digestive disorders. Generally, a change takes about 7 days, but it is always important to monitor your cat to see if it is enjoying the change in food.
At the beginning you should mix the new food in small amounts with the known food - we recommend a ratio of 25% new food to 75% known food. Afterwards, you should add a little more of the new food over a period of about 7 days until the old food is completely replaced.
We recommend a ratio of 25% new food to 75% old food in the first few days. If your cat is doing well, you can adjust the ratio of 50% new food to 50% old food on around the 4th day. Around the 6th day increase the ratio to 75% new food to 25% old food. On day 7 or 8 you can feed the new food completely if your cat continues to feel well and accepts the new food.
Additionally, we recommend maintaining your feeding habits, such as feeding times and locations, during the feeding transition. Please speak to a veterinarian if you have concerns about your cat's well-being while changing food.
