Based around a three-chip 2/3"-type CMOS sensor, the compact and highly versatile Sony HDC-P50 POV Camera provides flexible video output via SDI and IP ports. It offers native 1080p59.94 output and UHD 4K, SMPTE ST 2110 output, and high frame rates via separately available licenses.
BT.2020 Color Space
The HDC-P50A supports the BT.2020 color gamut for precise, vibrant color for your broadcasting needs. When paired with a separate 4K license, it supports HDR (high dynamic range) and simultaneous 1080p live operation.
Global Shutter
Compatible with the rest of the HDC series, the Sony HDC-P50 features a global shutter that eliminates "Jello" effects and optical CC (color correction) and ND (neutral density) filter wheels for quick lighting adjustments.
License Options
HZC-UHD50 4K license for up to UHD 4K59.94 HDR output.
HZC-HFR50 license for high frame rate with 2x, 3x, 4x, and 6x output, perfect for sports slow motion replays.
HZC-SFP5A license for UHD 4K IP output.
IP Output
In addition to one SDI monitor and three SDI outputs, the HDC-P50A camera can output 1080p (or 4K with a license) for easy integration with your IP-based network or a CCU (camera control unit) for extended transmission using single-mode fiber optic cabling.
Able to fit in tight spaces, the compact HDC-P50 is ideal for stabilizer, sports, handheld, and aerial usage.
Optical Filters
Two filter wheels offer a range of ND (neutral density) and CC (color correction) filters for quickly adapting to changing light conditions.
Integration with Sony Workflows
Compatible with an array of HDC series accessories like remote control panels and CCUs (camera control units).
