Portable Studio Camera for 4K Production

The HXC-FZ90SN2 Camera Kit from Sony incorporates a 2/3" 4K CMOS sensor for producing oversampled HD imaging or UHD 4K with a separately available license. This broadcast-style camera has a Neutrik connector for connecting to a separate HXCU-FZ90 CCU. This kit includes a 20x zoom lens and an HDVF-EL740 7.4" OLED viewfinder.

2/3" 4K CMOS Sensor

The highly sensitive Sony 2/3" 4K CMOS sensor captures optimal HD images with 2000 TVL resolution that are down converted from 4K. Ideally suited for 4K HDR productions, it supports both the BT.2020 color gamut and Sony's SR Live for HDR with HLG and S-Log 3.

Up to 1080p60 Video | Optional 4K License

The SN2 natively supports 1080 HD video resolutions at rates up to 60p. UHD 4K imaging requires a separately available license for weekly, monthly, or permanent use. UHD 4K can be output directly via the 12G-SDI connection or using an HXCU-FZ90 CCU component.

Easy Studio Integration

Easily integrated with your studio setup, the HXC-FZ90SN2 offers simple iris, gain, and shutter control plus functions like Dynamic Focus and Focus Assist Indicator to help operators keep their images sharp.
The Network Trunk connection simplifies your setup by enabling components to exchange control signals.
Use the Total Control System function for proper exposure, even without a dedicated camera operator.

Canon 20x Zoom Lens

The Canon 20x servo zoom included in this camera kit has a focal length of 8.2-164mm and a maximum aperture of f/1.9 for low-light capture. Focus, iris, and zoom functions are automatically or manually selectable, with a macro function providing focus down to 0.4" for extreme close-ups.

Long-Distance Sports Transmission

The Neutrik connector enables the SN2 to fit into your existing infrastructure and supports single-mode fiber extension at distances up to 6.2 miles when used with an HXCE-FZ90 or camera power supply. The ARIA (Automatic Restoration of Illumination Attenuation) compensates for peripheral light loss, letting you consistently deliver clear, dynamic images.

7.4" HDVF-EL740 Viewfinder

The included 7.4" HDVF-EL740 Viewfinder uses organic LED technology that draws less energy and offers deep blacks to peak brightness with a contrast ratio of more than 1,000,000:1. Its user-friendly features include focus assist, four assignable switches, and a versatile mount with pan, tilt, and height adjustments.

Flexible Live Event Capture

This highly sensitive camera captures high-quality images for a variety of live events and offers a native 60p format for online streaming. The UMBRA dynamic contrast function provides focus assistance even in lower light settings.
The intercom supports 5-pin XLR input and both 5-pin XLR and stereo mini-jack output for using your own headphones.

Versatile Connectivity

Versatile connectivity interface includes 8-pin RS-422, optical, BNC test output, BNC 3G/HD-SDI output, BNC HD prompter output/video trunk input, BNC prompter output/genlock input, DC output, DC input, dual XLR line/mic audio, and stereo mini earphone connectors.
